Gen. Thomas D. Waldhauser, USMC (Ret)

Waldhauser was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a graduate of Bemidji State University and the National War College with a master’s degree in National Security Strategies.

 

Throughout his 43 years of military service, he participated in various operations and contingencies, including Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He also served as Chief of Staff, U.S. Special Operations Command, Commander Marine Forces U.S. Central Command/I Marine Expeditionary Force, and Senior Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense. Prior to his retirement in 2019, he served as the Combatant Commander for U.S. Africa Command.

 

Waldhauser’s post-military career includes a position on the Board of Governors for the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, an Honorary Advisor for Girl Security, and a position as a Fellow at National Defense University. He also serves as a Senior Advisor for Jones Group International.
