By now you’ve probably heard that the Defense Department wants to reduce its military medical personnel by about 20 percent, or 18,000 billets. MOAA is fighting to prevent these reductions, at least until DoD can provide a detailed risk analysis that shows impact on beneficiaries will be minimized.

[ACT NOW: Tell Congress not to dismantle military medicine.]

What could such drastic cuts mean for military servicemembers, families and retirees? Join MOAA and a panel of experts 1 p.m., July 18, on MOAA’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/moaa.

And in advance, please email your questions to Tony Lombardo, MOAA’s director of audience engagement: tonyl@moaa.org. We’ll do our best to answer your question during the event.

Navy Capt. Kathy Beasley, USN (Ret), MOAA’s director of health affairs, will moderate our panel, which will include military medical professionals and military family advocates.
