After a rigorous application process, MOAA is pleased to announce The MOAA Foundation (TMF) has been accepted into the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). TMF will appear alongside the MOAA Scholarship Fund in the 2022-2023 catalog.

The CFC is the official workplace giving campaign for federal employees and retirees. It has raised more than $8.3 billion over the past 58 years for more than 20,000 charitable organizations worldwide.

Known to be the most inclusive workplace giving campaign in the world, the CFC bolsters a tradition of philanthropic giving. This program gives those federal employees and retirees, including individuals in the uniformed services, an opportunity to select a vetted charity (or charities) to support through tax-deductible donations.

The CFC conducted a comprehensive review of The MOAA Foundation’s governance practices, financial standing, and program impact, before adding the foundation as a participating organization.

“Acceptance into the Combined Federal Campaign is a milestone achievement for The MOAA Foundation” said Andrea Rand, MOAA's executive director of development. “With exposure to a broad range of federal employees, and retirees, the foundation is excited for the opportunity to expand our fundraising, name recognition, and most importantly, impact.”

Participation in the CFC should also serve as a reminder to our current donors, stakeholders, and program participants that TMF upholds the highest standard of transparency and ethical operations.

Supporting The MOAA Foundation through the Combined Federal Campaign will enable the foundation to provide direct financial relief to military and veteran communities, help military spouses start and sustain meaningful careers, assist transitioning servicemembers as they adjust to life outside of the military, provide emergency assistance to servicemembers and their families during catastrophic events, and so much more.

Federal employees and retirees can set up their annual CFC pledge supporting The MOAA Foundation (CFC 86590) and/or the MOAA Scholarship Fund (CFC 11285) now through Jan. 14, 2023. Outside of that period, new employees or retirees are permitted to make pledges within 30 days of beginning their new position.

Learn more about the campaign or make a donation at the CFC giving website; to add MOAA Charities to your CFC pledge basket, click the "Find an Approved Charity" button at the bottom of the page and type either the CFC numbers above or "The MOAA Foundation" or "Military Officers Association of America" (for the scholarship fund) into the search bar.
