Mission

The Coronado Chapter exists as an independent, nonprofit, politically nonpartisan organization.  Our mission is to promote the purposes and objectives of the Military Officers Association of America; to increase and foster supportive relations among retired, active, and former commissioned and warrant officers of the uniformed services; to organize and advocate to protect the rights, earned benefits, and interests of our members and all U.S. uniformed veterans, their dependents and survivors; to undertake charitable, social and similar events; and serve our community, Cochise County, the state of Arizona and the nation.

WE NEVER  STOP SERVING!

Information on Joining the Chapter

Coronado Chapter MOAA Members are more than just members.  They are facilitators.  They successfully influence local government.  They publicize valuable information to other MOAA members and affected military personnel.  They recognize outstanding young people and help others in time of need.  And while doing so, they develop close and lasting friendships with others of similar backgrounds and aspirations.

Is chapter membership for you?  If you want to have a greater impact on your community and the lives of those in the military yesterday, today and tomorrow you need to join our chapter. We are doers and helpers. We have for 17 consecutive years received 5-Star chapter recognition from National MOAA, and in 2019 we received 5 Star recognition for our Website and 5 Star recognition for our Newsletter “The Heliogram.”

If you’re still not sure, check us out on the web at www.coronadomoaa.org, by visiting our Facebook Page at “MOAA Coronado Chapter Sierra Vista, AZ” and/or by attending one of our Coronado Chapter meetings.  Joining a chapter might be one of the best benefits you’ll derive from your membership in MOAA.

Chapter Activities

Our monthly dinner meetings are held at the Sierra Vista Golf Center at Pueblo del sol in Sierra Vista - Social at 1800, Dinner at 1830, and Program about 1915. About Our Chapter

2025 CORONADO CHAPTER GOALS

Support the 2025 MOAA National Advocacy in Action priorities through their widespread publication via Legislative Alerts, focused articles in the monthly newsletter and engagement with elected officials as evidenced by increased registration in and use of Quorum.

Continually encourage our members to “Never Stop Serving” by providing avenues for their active involvement with organizations and groups sharing MOAA’s mission as well as strengthening the bond between the Chapter and its membership thru the timely announcement and advertisement of opportunities as well as thru direct personal contact.

Actively engage all surviving spouses on a routine and individually tailored basis, support each surviving spouse with appropriate assistance as each member may require, and prepare each member as early as possible for life transitions as a surviving spouse.
