Rear Adm. Nancy A. Hann, NOAA, is the Director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Commissioned Corps. She was appointed to that key leadership position in 2021 following a 22-year career as a NOAA commissioned officer.

She is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marine science. She holds a master’s degree in aeronautical science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a master’s degree in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

She has extensive experience in Congressional relations, human capital management, strategic planning, human resources management, and service level budget and acquisition management.
