Cmdr. George Jakubek, USN

Cmdr. G. Adam Jakubek, USN, attended Saint Vincent College and was awarded a Health Professional Scholarship from the Navy to attend Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified in adult neurology and most recently completed additional fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Bethesda, Md., in June 2022.

 

He has a diverse background in operational medicine, serving as Battalion Surgeon for 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion where he completed a deployment during a surge of operations in Sangin District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in 2011. He was Head of Neurology at Naval Hospital Jacksonville from 2015-2018. He has also served a Group Surgeon for Commander, Submarine Group 10, where he oversaw the provision of medical care for all the ballistic- and guided-missile submarines on the East Coast from 2018 to 2021.

 

Cmdr. Jakubek is currently serving as a staff neurologist at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Va.
