Entrepreneurship Tips and Resources for Veterans

In considering options for your next career move, have you thought about entrepreneurship?

Do you have passion, a drive to succeed, and an idea to improve lives? Perhaps starting or purchasing a business or buying a franchise is for you. Here are some factors to consider and a short list of entrepreneurial resources specifically for military veterans.

As with any career transition, your network is going to be critical. Talk to as many business owners as possible about their experience and lessons learned. Talk to a few trusted advisors about your business plan, and ask them to help you flesh it out. For example, have you carefully considered the market, timing, and funding of your business? Ask for referrals to accountants, attorneys, venture capitalists, and other professionals as necessary. Ensure your network is solid before you begin your venture, and keep it vibrant for success in your new business.
